Monthly Meetings
Our monthly meetings are ordinarily held the first Wednesday of every month from noon to 1 PM. Our guest speakers in the past have included the president of the Linux users group doing a live show-and-tell installation of Linux, engineers from Microsoft, Novell, Cisco, VMWare, Foundry Networks, and other presenters of this type. We get engineers to come talk to us, and we ask them to give us the nuts and bolts details of how to make these systems work.

Topic: The Reality of DNSSEC for external DNS Security
Presentation: We're sure that you've been following the story regarding the DNS security threat and its implications for the security of all Internet and network- based applications. We understand you may have already patched your servers, but want you to be aware that more patches are imminent.
So what is this all about, really? The short answer is cache poisoning. While cache poisoning is not new, Dan Kaminsky discovered a new way to exploit this vulnerability. What was thought to be too complex or time consuming for hackers to focus on has been proven unbelievably simple.
Virtually all network based applications…email, Web apps, eCommerce – EVERYTHING is at risk.
Join us as we talk about this vulnerability and the importance of DNSSEC. Learn what is required for Federal Government OMB mandate to implement DNSSEC.
